Today, we turn 21 — but before we blow out this year’s candles, we’re looking back at a major milestone. Last year marked 20 years of The Chocolate Bar in the heart of Kuwait. These 20 years were built on love, creativity, and of course, chocolate. For that, we needed a special birthday song, didn’t we?

 That’s when it hit us: there was no iconic Kuwaiti birthday song that truly represented us. So, we decided to change that by launching a competition with a local twist, inviting everyone to create a song we could all come together to sing, a song that is Kuwaiti through and through.

 We launched our birthday competition with a grand prize of 20,000 KWD. Beyond celebrating this incredible milestone, we aimed to go viral, go big, and celebrate with everyone.

The creative minds behind this journey included the talented Humood AlKhudher and Talal Sam, not just singers, but powerful local creatives who brought energy and authenticity to the project and resonated with the generation of creatives that we wanted to participate!

While launching the competition online, we knew the winner announcement had to match the scale of the celebration. That’s how ChocoBarty came to be. The main event, the grand finale and our very own birthday party.

We held the event at our Al Murooj branch, where our panelists selected the winner. It was a night to remember, with a huge 20-year birthday cake, a Balloon Noon (inspired by the beloved Kuwaiti tradition) and finally wrapping it all together with a big marching band that performed Abdallah AlShatti’s winning birthday song!

This entire campaign was driven by passion, love, and a deep desire to celebrate a moment that means so much to us. It’s about creativity, Kuwait, celebration, and love, reflecting our continuous mission to keep that feeling alive in everything the brand touches.
